You may initially assume that I am from the Boise area, but as soon as we speak, my accent will reveal that I come from across the pond—England, UK. I relocated to the United States in 2004 to pursue my dream. My journey began in administrative work at a local hospital before advancing to a supervisory role in the warehouse. Unfortunately, this position came to an end in 2008. While I enjoyed my time there, I sought a more flexible career path, which led me to the field of inspections.
I completed a 60-hour inspection course—where I was the only woman in the class—and passed with an 87%. I loved the experience, as it provided me with the foundational knowledge I needed to pursue my ultimate career goal: becoming a Real Estate Agent. Over the next two years, I balanced part-time inspection work with a supervisory role at Wawa. Then, in 2014, I took the next step in my professional growth, earning my real estate license after completing the required coursework and successfully passing the state exam.
This transition allowed me to combine my personal experience of relocating 3,700 miles with my passion for helping families navigate their own moves in Maryland. My journey has been both challenging and rewarding, but in 2024, it was time for another change. My family and I made the exciting decision to relocate once again—this time to Idaho, specifically the Boise area. Saying that I love it here would be an understatement. The breathtaking mountain views and endless outdoor activities make it a dream come true.
My relocation journey was an adventure in itself. I arrived on September 6th after a 2,400-mile journey from Maryland, driving a truck with a trailer in tow. The trip took five days and 34 hours of driving, but with the company of a great friend and favorable weather, we made it safely.
Upon arriving in Idaho, my next goal was to obtain my real estate license once again. I’m proud to say that I successfully did so, reaffirming my passion for this career. I chose to join Better Homes and Gardens 43 North because of their supportive environment and commitment to excellence.
